Egypt 5 Days Itinerary

Enjoy your delicious breakfast in the early morning at the hotel in Cairo. After that, Cairo Top Tours assistant will meet you to progress with your Egypt 5 days tour package, you will be transferred to the ancient Giza Necropolis to see the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, which was built 4500 years ago.

You will have the possibility to enter inside the pyramid with an extra ticket which is not covered by the tour price, then move to the second Pyramid which was built for King Chephren, the second official son of his father Cheops, Chephren built his pyramid somewhat smaller than his father's great pyramid in respect for the majesty and authority of his father and king. Then you will see the smallest pyramid in Giza built for king Mycerinus of the 4th dynasty, you will see how vast is the Sphinx which was carved from one big rock to imitate the face of King Chephren himself with a body of a lion, as a traditional symbolization for both power and intelligence.

 Proceed with your tour of the Giza Pyramids by visiting the Valley Temple facing the statue of the sphinx, the temple is principally built to perform the mummification of king Chephren as part of the funeral rituals that help the king through his afterlife.

After your Giza Pyramids tour is done, your guide will take you to Saqqara Necropolis, one of the richest archeological places in Egypt, also the home to 11 royal pyramids on top of them is the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the first pyramid to be built entirely out of stone. The tour includes admission to one of the pyramids within Saqqara as well. Continue to visit one of the tombs of the nobles to see the most preserved scenes and paintings of daily life in ancient Egypt.

Have your lunch served in one of the local restaurants in Giza, then we will be transferred with our private vehicle to the ancient city of Memphis, the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom and a very important city during the Middle and the New Kingdom all the way to the Greco-Roman era.

You will be astonished when you see the open-air museum with all the richness of the statues, especially those which were created for King Ramsess II, owner of the famous temples known as Abu Simbel Temples.
After finishing your Giza day tour, we will take you back to spend the night at your hotel in Giza.

Enjoy your daily buffet breakfast served at 6:AM in the hotel and then get ready to meet your guide 2 hours later to continue your Egypt tours. You will be accompanied by your Egyptologist, who will take you to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is considered one of the most famous antiquities museums in the world because of its large collection of Egyptian antiques exhibited on two floors, including the royal treasure of the golden pharaoh Tutankhamen.

We will move to the Citadel of Saladin, which used to be the center of the Egyptian government for many centuries. Upon arrival, you will visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, considered a unique imitation of the Ottoman architecture in Egypt, and you will enjoy the Islamic Cairo trips with its several mosques and Towers piercing the sky and magnificent, colorful domes, which are hundreds of years old, and some of them are even older than one thousand years.

Our Coptic Cairo tour will take you to see the Roman fortress of Babylon and the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary, well known as Al Mualaka or the suspended church because it was built above the towers of the fortress.

During our Cairo Day Tours, you will also visit the church of the Holy Family or the Church of St Sergius which was built above the crypt inside which the holy family stayed over three months and the spring from which they got their water supplies, then we will go to Ben Ezra Synagogue which is according to tradition built on the spot where the basket of baby Moses was found.

We will stop to have a delicious lunch, then we will head to Khan El Khalili bazaar in the heart of Islamic Cairo, and explore the walls and gates of medieval Cairo and the old streets dating back to the 10th century.

Get ready after you finish your breakfast to meet your expert English-speaking tour guide to start the tour to Alexandria during our 5 Days Egypt itinerary. We will transfer you from Cairo to Alexandria by air-conditioned vehicles. The trip takes about 2 and a half hours and you will stop on the way for a break.

Finally, you will reach Alexandria, the shining pearl of the Mediterranean and the second capital of Egypt, The name of the city dates back to its founder, the Macedonian leader Alexander the Great, who ruled Egypt in 332 B.C.

Begin your sightseeing at the famous site known as Pompey’s Pillar, built-in 297 A.D to celebrate the victory of a Roman emperor named Diocletian (who ruled Rome between 284 and 305 A.D and also took control over Egypt) following a revolt in Alexandria, then you will be transferred to the Catacombs of Kom El Shokkafa,  which were discovered as soon as the 20th century began and is considered one of the largest burial Roman places, after that, you will drive by the seaside to reach the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the ruins of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. It enjoys an excellent position, at the end of a narrow strip of land extending into the Eastern Port.

Visit the oldest center of scientific research in history The Bibliotheca of Alexandria. which once was the largest in the world. Located in the city that gives it its name, facing the Mediterranean, it was founded at the beginning of the 3rd century B.C by Ptolomy I.

You can't go to Alexandria without eating seafood! enjoy your lunch made out of the freshest ingredients.

Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
